SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY. THANK YOU

Yesterday I posted a question about cramping and spotting around the time of my menstrual cycle, only thing is it didn't start, my period was late. I took one preg test yesterday and it was positive, I didn't believe it so I took another this morning also it was positive. Only thing is I'm having menstrual like pelvic cramps, spotting, & a light pain in my stomach earlier but yet my preg friends are saying that they experienced this & I'll be fine. This is my first preg. and I don't want this to be a miscarriage. I have a apt. asap with my Dr.

So I'm asking moms & preg. moms is this a normal thing? If so, how early in your pregnancy did it start?

If you are pregnant and spotting and cramping then you should just relax and abstain from sex. About 3 months ago I had a miscarriage and it started with small cramps and very light spotting and I called a nurseline and they also said that it was normal to have a little spotting but then it got worse and I ended up having the miscarriage. YOu shouls just sit back and relax. Do not have sex right now because it can make the bleeding a little worse and really confuse you. If you keep bleeding and keep getting cramps then you should go to the ER. Good luck and I hope everything works out ok for you!

I spotted for the first 3 months of my pregnancy. No cramping though. My best friend spotted and cramped until the end of hers. It definitely freaked me out and I had an ultrasound done. Everything was fine though and I now have a healthy 4 month old. Everything freaked me out during my pregnancy. Just get checked out and go from there. Good luck and Congratulations!

Cramping, and Spotting is normal. It could be implantation bleeding. Implantation bleeding can last up to 12 weeks! I wouldn't worry unless you have bright red blood, and clotting. Alot of women experience spotting in there first trimester. It could also be something as simple as a "tear" on you cervix which causes brown spotting. Its almost like as if you scraped you knee. Thats what a cervix tear is. I really wouldn't worry. Your still early, and going through a lot of "ligament Pains" which is your uterus growing, trying to adjust to the baby. but definitely see you doctor to ease your fears.

Within the first 1-3 months its okay to experience a little cramps or spotting, and it usual goes away after the first month or two. My cousin whose pregnant experienced it, and its normal as long as its not a heavy bleeding.

It depends. It could be a blighted ovum, in which case you'll get a positive test but will not truly be pregnant. It could be an early miscarriage, as well.

However, if it's a little spotting and of a darker brown color (rather than bright red) it could be implantation bleeding. That's quite common, and nothing to worry about.

My best advice would be for you to contact your doctor if you are worried.

I wouldn't worry about it. I had the same thing happen, and everything was fine. I'm now 14 weeks and I'm not having any problems. I had cramping on and off for the first couple weeks or so, and so did my sister who is 18 weeks, and she is fine too!

I had both, ran to my doctor (okay not literally but they got me in within 24 hours), and they did an ultrasound to make sure everything was okay. I was about 8 or 9 weeks.
