A good guy friend of mine is either very in touch with his feminine side, too much a fan of the food network, all out metrosexual, and has a very sing-song voice AND gay or all of the above and not gay. He's never admitted it, but I have a hunch. I will accept whatever orientation he is, I just want to know without offending him. I'm afraid if I call him on it and he's actually not gay, he might be offended. Please give me some insight!

Just don't worry about it. If he's your friend and you really don't care then it shouldn't matter either way. There is no way of asking. If he wants you to know, he will tell you. Otherwise, just let it go and enjoy the PERSON he is.

If his sexual orientation doesn't matter to you then why must you ask him???if he is a good friend who cares..I am not gay but I have friends that are gay and they will tell you in time when they think you will except them for who they really are...he may think that you would be offended or put off and he would lose your friendship or he may be straight and just trying to be your best friend because hes interested in you???who cares if he is or not..if he was gay would it change your friendship??would it change how you treated him or "looked' at him, would it change how close of a friend you were to them...if so then you need to take a close look at yourself and what you really are for a friend and if you really aren't prejudice

It's none of your business if he's gay or not. If he wants you to know, one way or another, he will tell you on his own. Asking him may embarrass him. The only way it's your business is if he's asking you to have sex with him. If that's not the case, then just keep on being his friend. His orientation is his own business.

ask what he thinks of the track lighting in here, ask him who the interior design expert is on Queer Eye, and tell him you just loved Judy Garland music but forgot whether she was in "State Fair" or "Meet Me In St. Louis." By that question you'll know, LOL.

Gee, think minding your own business is what he would really like?
First it is none of your business really.
Maybe he is fine with who he is and doesn't feel like saying it.
I would rethink the whole thing and let him be who he is.

Don't ask him, if he is he will come out to you at the right time. I wouldn't pressure him or embarrass him.
