I am not referring to Yahoo! Answers in this question, but rather common questions we ask ourselves in our mind each day.

No, I do not try to answer my own questions. I automatically ask the person nearest to me. I don't want to guess.

if you mean the questions we ask of ourselves in our own heads - I think that's admirable. After all, we are thinking creatures and should exercise that tiny 10% of our brain they say we use. I think it's a sign of a person who is self-aware and strong minded. We should be able to figure out anything we need if we just work at it long enough.
If you mean these people who ask us questions only to answer their own questions - I think they are self-absorbed and really just looking for a lecture hall. I find them boring and tiresome. That includes the ones that do it on Yahoo Answers.

Well alot of times wisdom and can be found within. It is very important to listen to your own instincts and inner thoughts, however, there are many wise men out there and it would be extremely foolhardy to not soak up all that you can from these masters of life.

Well, Attorneys say to never ask a question you don't know the answer to (in court).
But usually it's just human nature.

If everyone in the world lived by the golden rule(treat people the way you would like to be treated)(do unto others as you would like done to yourself) what a great world this would be.

About a person who tries to answer his own questions are ideally the most practical persons.
They usually do such an act to back check or at times just to confirm if wat they think is right.
