only when the paint won't bead up on it's own any more. Also do not use chamos or towles on your car. They scratch your clear coat up. Go an invest in a genie auto dry, we swear by these at the body shop.

I do mine every three months. You can do yours every three months if you want to so you can be just like me. Or you can do it every six months and be like that other guy who does his every six months. It doesn't matter that much. I would suggest waxing it right away, because you will really notice a difference in how slick the paint feels and you may as well get the protection of wax right quick. Might I also suggest that you get yerself one of dem orbital polishers? I used to wax my 2006 Odyssey by hand, and it took like forever. With my polisher, it takes less than an hour.

i always use a good wax every 6 months. Normally you can see when the rain doesnt bead up anymore. Try before the winter for a good coat and again after the winter.
good luck

Waxing can be done everyday. I use liquid wax with a cup of water to clean it everyday. Birds had hard time trying to land on my car roof, lol. Polish is not really advisable as it will thin your paint work.

If you're a 22 year old swimsuit model, every week. If you're a 360lb mouth breathing guy, once a decade is enough
