When I tryed to crank it the engine lights and gauges went haywire. The starter is making that clicking noise, but there is no ignition. Battery, alternator, starter or electrical?

Could be all of what you mentioned. Start by recharging the battery and do a load test on it. It should hold at leat 10volts when you crank the engine. If you recharge the battery and you have a no crank, check the cables, are they clean and tight? All the way down to the starter and engine ground? Try tapping on the starter with a small hammer and turn the key. If it works, then the bendix on your starter is bad and you need to replace the starter. Once the engine starts, put a volt meter on the battery, it should read 14 volts. Put the lights on, wipers, defrosters, all the electrical. It should maintain the 14volts. If not you may have a bad alternator. If you can not do any of these tests, try jumpstarting the battery and take it to a local garage for the electrical systems check. They will know in a matter of minutes if you have a bad battery, alternator or starter.
good luck..........

Try boosting it to start first, then ask questions if you fail to start it.
