How do you think the new series compares?

Yes I do, assuming you mean the one where Robin was played originally by Michael Praed and then Jason Connery. A good series that, I liked the theme by Clannad as well.
Saw the first episode of this new series and thought it was rubbish. Checked a bit of last weeks and didn't change my mind.

I remember it ! I used to love it. Who did you prefer, Michael Praed or Jason Connery as Robin ? It was Michael Praed for me, for some reason I always picture Robin Hood as having dark hair.
The new series isn't too bad at all. I prefer Robin of Sherwood though. Bring back the 80's !!!

Robin of Sherwood was the best tv adaptation. Michael Praed was fab and I cried buckets when he died. It was never the same with Jason Connery

ROBIN! ROBIN! The hooded man! So much better than this new series!
(my mums actually quite angry about the new series! She prefers Robin of Sherwood. Bless her!)

I haven't got a telly anymore, but I remember the first one - it was great. Michael Praed was hot, Jason Connery was almost as hot.
However, my fave Robin Hood series was Maid Marian and her Merry Men on BBC1. Tony Robinson was great, as ever :-)

Yes, this series is crap, the other far better. Can't remember who played Robin, was it Michael Praed, the son of someone famous.

OMG i absolutely loved the original series, the one with jason connery in (sooo gorgeous) the hooded man lol, i loved the theme tune aswell by claanad(i apologise for the spelling) i havent seen the new series yet so i couldn't comment, but in my opinion, you never can beat an original no matter what it is.....

I remember the original one, but I have not seen the new one.
I don't really watch TV these days (I have not watched anything in 3 weeks). The original had Richard O'Brien in it and as such gets my vote!
I think the best ever was Maid Marrion and her Merry Men starring Tony "Baldrick" Robinson.

Yes, I remember it, and IMHO the 80-series was way better than the remake they're showing now.

yes i remember the 80's series and i dont think this new series comes anywhere close to it
