Jimi Hendrix. His guitar playing gives me chills. It's so incredibly awesome. And his songs are great too. Like in Bold as Love I like how he expresses his feelings in colors. That's cool, and its something most artists don't do anymore. Check out the song Voodoo Chile/Slight Return, the lyrics and guitar are sooooo awesome!

That's a big list and their in different genres. I'd pick The Beatles, but Queen is very close to them.

Bob Seger. when You listen to His songs, its like listening to someone tell a story. also, a lot of His songs are about getting older. I can relate.
