Its just a publicity gimmick to sell tickets for this pathetic franchise, isn't it ? Their management is loaded with his cronies drawing huge salaries. This team is headed to the bottom of the West. Even Chicago and St.Louis look better. Nobody in the media has the guts to criticize him.

I know i may not recieve the best answer, but i would like to state one thing, its still early in the season, and he is only on his firs official year of coaching,everybody needs a little time to develop their skills, even the great one, i dont think that becoming one hockeys greats happened overnight, it took hard work and disipline, the same here, once he figures it all out, he has no where to go but up. I dont think that he will be going to far, consdering he is part owner of the team.. I dont think the team is a pathetic one, so much as it is stuggling to regain the form it once had early on, when they moved to phoenix or when they were in winipeg.

i imagine Wayne Gretzky is doing an fairly god job with the Coyotes team. they are improving each and every year. they could be able to play solid. he's an outstanding instructor . If he sticks at the back of the bench for a lengthy time period longer , the Coyotes will be a playoff chance .

Not all great players are meant to be coaches. Hopefully he will realize that soon. But that said, you have to give him the benefit of the doubt. There were a lot of off ice things going on last year that could have affected the way he was performing and it's still too early in the season to say anything.

I never liked Gretzky. I'm pretty sure his wife doesn't like him neither. He left Edmonton for more money. Isn't this the guy that got busted for that huge scandal with Rick Tocchet. The so called great-one. He's washed up!!!

Good question. He doesn't have much to work with? Blame Barnett for not getting any good young talent.The only decent player they have is Doan.
Gretzky will remove himself next year.
