This is a scary incident, but I think you may have to cut your friend some slack. He may be going through something of his own and can't be there for you at this time. Friendship takes two, so don't forget to think about him also. (This comes from personal experience.)

ok.First of all im sorry about what has just happened to you.I would be bloody scared too. but dont ever think u are alone. or it hasnt happened to others as my brother was in his house asleep when the next minute he was awoke by a black man standing over his bed saying is johnny here?He said no then he legged it down the road.My bro called the police and they said thankyou as about ten minutes ago a lady was attacked in her house same guy.You must also think why he said he didnt want to hurt u?what did he mean?do u have any auntys?or anything?maybe if u do they could help.

yea he was probably worried, i doubt he cried!
the knock on the door may have even been a delivery, but you done the right thing calling the police if you was that worried.
this friend of yours probably didnt know what to say, but i do think he cares for you alot, as he says he cared about me as a friend.

maybe it was someone you knew ringing the doorbell. I never heard of anyone trying to break in ringing the doorbell . They don't give you that kind of warning. Are you sure your not hearing bells ringing. I don't what else he could have said to help you.

Well, if he hasn't really gone over the top to tell you that he cares what happened to you, he probably doesn't. That is, if he hasn't been coming over to your house to be with you, to comfort you, then I would say that he's not as caring as you said he claims to be.
