First thing you need to do is to remove all family members, pets and valuable from your home! That way when you blow your house sky high, they will be safe!
Have you contacted the gas company yet to have them turn off the gas before you go cutting on gas lines? Have a professional do the actual connecting of the lines. Save your money on doing the things you are qualified and knowledgeable in.
Pay a professional $300 or pay for a new home, furnishings, Neighbors homes..........HHmmm, tough one!

Its EASY.
Turn off your GAS main.
Normally they use threaded pipes for gas. DO NOT cut anything.
Find the closest connection, Take it apart. Use a T (three way) connector or what ever necessary and work from there.

Call someone qualified for this job it is not a diy job. Too many variables involved, volume needed, length of pipe, supply pressure. Just to name a few.

Are you out of your mind.. YOU should NEVER do that yourself.. It MUST be done ONLY by a specialized person. If you do it yourself and it is found out by the City, you could be letting yourself in for trouble.. You should contact your gas company and inform them and they will send out someone to do it..... NEVER do it yourself
