After I shower my period for maybe a half hour seems to just stop, which is great for me but why does it happen? I'm not complaining though :)

The water washes away any visible flow, and also enters your body and helps wash away the released flow for awhile, before it can run out of your body.
This is why they recommend you not swim with your period unless you wear a tampon; because the fluid ends up in the water and that's not hygenic for others.

Water just stops the flow of the blood. It is just natural for this to happen. I know it seems strange but water just does this. It is weird, but I'm glad it does. Take care and God Bless.

It's usually because you are in a light flow period and the water just stops it but don't rely on water for that!

Because water stops the flow of blood. Just like when you cut your self you put it under water and it slows down the bleeding.

The flow doesn't actually stop, you've just washed it away, even some of it that was still inside your vagina.
