To be honest, if there's no compression you really do need to take the heads off. The first thing to try is to put a little oil down the bores through the plug hole and recheck the compression. If the compression increases the fault points to the piston rings/bores. If the compression doesn't increase the fault points towards the valve/valve seats.
If you tried to remove the pistons from the bottom of the engine you would have to remove the crank, and to remove the crank you would need to take the auto box out. So it would be easier to remove the heads.

you are saying your engine has no compression ??
How do you know that ?? Need some more info. here.
If you have no compression putting some lubricant, or whatever, in the cylinders will do absolutely no good. Compression rings have very little to do with compression to the point where you have none. You may have a broken timing gear /belt / chain or even a broken camshaft. A total loss of compression is very serious.

Valves cause total compression loss more than rings. If it was overheated they can stick open. You can try dumping some really thin oil down. Like 5W synthetic and crank the engine. I fixed mine that way after a radiator catastrophe.
And, definitely ignore any halfwit who tells to to pull the crank without knowing anything about the problem.

If your vehicle sounds like it has no compression take the top timing belt cover off and check to see if it`s not snaped
