I would guess you need a CHILTONS manual. Available at your parts store. The step by step would take up more space than available here.
Water pumps are uaually pretty much straight forward if you have any mechanical knowledge.
Every wannabe "mechanic" who wants to diy should go get a CHILTONS manual and save a lot of bad advice here.

Head for the store, you have to buy a pump anyway, and it may help you to have it to look at.

If you're not sure always ( at least ask) or take it to your local mechanic.
