After all, they only won 83 games and it took 'em 7 games to dispose of a New York Mets team that was minus its top 2 starters. This is gonna be a one - sided World Series if there ever was one!

I think the Redbirds had better perch on a branch somewhere high off the ground and pray that the big Cats can't get to 'em...haha.

You gotta either be a MET or YANKEE fan, ST. LOUIS has a better chance then either one of them teams-LOser

People that answer need to wake up and smell the pitching. The Cards have a two man rotation, Carpenter and Weaver. And Carpenter has been pitching like a little-league 8 year old lately. The only reason they actually beat the Mets is because because New York had a one man rotation. Not to mention the terrible peice of junk St. Louis calls a bull pen. Pujols has done NOTHING in the offseason. Don't kid yourself otherwise.

It wont be one sided, don't get me wrong. I still think the Tigers will take the Cards, but StL will win SOME. Here's the first few match ups and why Detroit won't have much of a challange:

Reyes(0-0, 4.50 ERA postseason; 5-8, 5.06 regular season) vs. Verlander (1-0, 5.91 ERA postseason; 17-9, 3.63 regular season)

Game 1 is high scoring in the Cards favor.

Weaver (2-1, 2.16 ERA postseason; 8-14, 5.76 regular season) vs. Rogers (2-0, 0.00 ERA postseason; 17-8, 3.84 regular season)

Game 2 will be won early by Detroit, who will pick up on Weaver's body language change from Heater to Curve

Robertson (1-1, 5.91 ERA postseason; 13-13 regular season) vs. Carpenter (2-1, 3.70 ERA postseason; 15-8, 3.09 regular season)

Game 3 goes to Detroit early on, as Carpenter has given up way too much during the post season for StL to come back to

Bonderman (1-0, 3.08 ERA postseason; 14-8, 4.08 regular season) vs. Suppan (1-1, 1.86 ERA postseason; 12-7, 4.12 regular season)

Game 4 goes to StL, due to Suppan being one of the best pitchers the Cards have. That ain't no lie, Carpenter and Weaver are just garbage this year.

Detroit was, and still will be, the best team in baseball. (No, I'm not a Tigers, Mets, or Padres fan. My team didn't even make it to the post season. And I wanted to see this match-up in the end...)

I pick the Cards in 7. Besides if the Tigers get a cocky attitude like yours, they are opening themselves up for a major let down. The Cards I think will surprise the Tigers. I won't say that the Tigers are not good, because they had to be to make it to the series. But give the Cardinals some respect.

Hey Georgie, I have to agree with you somewhat, both teams played well when they needed to.

don't be a jerk, show some class
they're the cardinals
and they had better odds to win the world series before the season started than the tigers
they went through injuries and all that other stuff
at least do your homework before running your mouth
they'll give them a fight, but the tigers need to set the course
to make it a walkover
i like the tigers in six games
i'm in detroit and ready to celebrate
because nothing is certain

Let me tell you this: it can't be any worse than 2004 when the Cards were swept by the Red Sox. A lot of people actually picked St. Louis that year to win, and they played horribly. That's why I believe anything can happen!

not much at all, im saying 4 game sweep fot the tigers because, weve seen through out the post season, pitching wins. Tigers beat yanks, a's beat twins, cardinals beat mets. Thats y the tigers will win

They are going to be more competition than you think. Underdogs do have a tendency of playing better than everyone thinks. Don't crown the Tigers just yet.

It wont be "one-sided" at all.

The CARDINALS are a team of Destiny, as are The Tigers, and should go 6 games.

It will be interesting.
