The right answer is the ball gains Kinetic energy and loses potential energy.

When the ball is at rest the Potential energy is at highest and Kinetic is zero.As it rolls down the Potential energy is converted inti Kinetic so the right statement should be ball gains Kinetic energy and loses potential energy.

But it is not one of your options so the true statement is:
THE BALL GAINS KINETIC ENERGY

f: the ball gains kinectic energy

anything with "potential energy" means that the ball is at rest and it has the "potential" to have energy. You can't necessarily gain potential energy. You can lose kinectic energy when the ball starts slowing down.

Kinetic energy - energy of motion
Potential energy - stored energy available for use

The ball has potential energy at the top of the hill because it has the *potential* to roll down. When the ball starts rolling, the potential energy is then converted to kinetic energy because the ball is now moving.

The answer is f.I learned all about that stuff in ideas (the class for smart kids).Potential energy is when it is stoped.Kinectic energy is when it is moving.
