alrightey- as part of my costume i'd like to buy color contacts. preferably a grey/silver or blue or green. does anyone out there know a store of some kind where i can get non-perscription color contacts? i mean i know eye-docters have them but you'd need a perscription to do that. and when i say store- i mean a specific store, not just "pharmacy". thanks in advance, i really appreciate it

I think you can get them from CVS or just Shop rite or something, or Walmart. Or you can ask at CVS if they don't gave em and they can say where to get em.

If you are just wanting ordinary colored contacts, you can get them from an eye dr ~ they have them w/o a Rx but you would probably have to pay for the exam...You might try ordering them online but most of those want a Rx (even if its not for vision correction). The standard BC is 8.6 and diameter is 14.5 so you dont really have to worry about that. To avoid irritation and infection, just take care of them and clean them before you put them in and dont share them with youre friends.

Not sure where, but I'm answering to tell you to be VERY careful. I know it looks cool, but probably not a good idea. Last year the news ran a series of stories about this. Contacts take a precise fit based on the shape and curvature of the eye. It's not a one-size-fits-all. A lot of people got eye infections and excrutiatingly painful corneal abrasions that landed then in the ER. Keep that in mind before you make your decision.

Try your local mall, you know the people working the carts? Sometimes they carry contacts. You could even try some costume stores by where you live. I know my costume stores sell them, they have all colors too.

Check on line. They're very expensive, and some are for short wear already and very uncomfortable to wear, like the large white ones. I bet you try America's Best Contacts on line you could get just plain colored ones though.
