From the chain rule, you get -sin(ln x)*(1/x), but that doesn't involve logarithmic differentiation.

Typically, you'd use logarithmic differentiation when taking the ln of the equation y=f(x) results in some simplification, using the properties of ln, but that simply isn't the case here.
