There are of course people that are black-Indian mix, but naturally they are mixed. There can not be any "full blood" black Indian people anymore then there can be a "full blood" white Indians.

I have heard of some new so-called black Indian "tribes" that have popped up that try to claim they are legitimate though they are not. They have borrowed traditions from various actual tribes and will enroll anyone into this fake tribe, for a fee that is probably yearly. Websites, particularly one I have looked through quite a bit (finding the fakes of all kinds is a bit of a hobby of mine...), really play it up to try to look legitimate, but there are many things that are suspicious and not really legit. This man may be "enrolled" in one of those fake "tribes" and claim what he did as any white wannabe may claim such things.

What I think is sad is that some people get sucked into these groups, willing to fork over the money and ignore the illegitimacy to be a part of it, instead of actually digging up their real Native ancestry and finding their real ancestors.

The gentleman is correct. This site may help enlighten you:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&rls=GGLJ%2CGGLJ%3A2006-41%2CGGLJ%3Aen&q=intermarriages+with+blacks+and+indians

However, it shows which Native American Indian Tribes inter-married with ***** men and women as well other races.

So, my dear, you had a bit of a history lesson.

Look in your own family tree, you will probably find much "mixed-blood," especially if your family came from the Southeast part of the states: (Louisiana, Texas, etc.) If you have not traced your family, you may want to try. You will learn a lot about where you came from. A good website is: familysearch.org
