Yeah, I've got a few best answers myself.
But seriously, I applied for a job and took a test that 600 other applicants took. Math, mechanical aptitude, physics, common sense, that sort of thing. I got the high score. Ended up working there for a year and a half before they fired me.
My daughter went to state for the Reader's Digest Word Power Challenge a few years ago, and got some nice parting gifts when she lost in the first round. But to get there she had to win the school competition, the city competition, and the regional competition, so we considered her a winner anyway.
