Fascism can take over in any country, through years of brainwashing , before you realize it, it has taken control. Check out the following and if any thing looks familiar, pay close attention:

The 14 Defining
Characteristics Of Fascism
by Dr. Lawrence Britt
Dr. Lawrence Britt has examined the fascist regimes of Hitler (Germany), Mussolini (Italy), Franco (Spain), Suharto (Indonesia) and several Latin American regimes. Britt found 14 defining characteristics common to each:

1. Powerful and Continuing Nationalism -
Fascist regimes tend to make constant use of patriotic mottos, slogans, symbols, songs, and other paraphernalia. Flags are seen everywhere, as are flag symbols on clothing and in public displays. TOP

2. Disdain for the Recognition of Human Rights -
Because of fear of enemies and the need for security, the people in fascist regimes are persuaded that human rights can be ignored in certain cases because of "need." The people tend to look the other way or even approve of torture, summary executions, assassinations, long incarcerations of prisoners, etc. TOP

3. Identification of Enemies/Scapegoats as a Unifying Cause -
The people are rallied into a unifying patriotic frenzy over the need to eliminate a perceived common threat or foe: raciel, ethnic or religious minorities; liberals; communists; socialists, terrorists, etc. [environmentalists?]

4. Supremacy of the Military
Even when there are widespread domestic problems, the military is given a disproportionate amount of government funding and the domestic agenda is neglected. Soldiers and military service are glamorized. TOP

5. Rampant Sexism -
The governments of fascist nations tend to be almost exclusively male-dominated. Under fascist regimes, traditional gender roles are made more rigid. Divorce, abortion and homosexuality are suppressed and the state is represented as the ultimate guardian of the family institution. TOP

6. Controlled Mass Media -
Sometimes, the media is directly controlled by the government, but in other cases, the media is indirectly controlled by government regulation, or sympathetic media spokespeople and executives. Censorship, especially in wartime, is very common. TOP

7. Obsession with National Security -
Fear is used as a motivational tool by the government over the masses. TOP

8. Religion and Government are Intertwined -
Governments in fascist nations tend to use the most common religion in the nation as a tool to manipulate public opinion. Religious rhetoric and terminology is common from government leaders, even when the major tenets of the religion are diametrically opposed to the government's policies or actions. TOP

9. Corporate Power is Protected -
The industrial and business aristocracy of a fascist nation often are the ones who put the government leaders into power, creating a mutually beneficial business/government relationship and power elite. TOP

10. Labour Power is Suppressed -
Because the organizing power of labour is the only real threat to a fascist government, labor unions are either eliminated entirely, or are severely suppressed. TOP

11. Disdain for Intellectuals and the Arts -
Fascist nations tend to promote and tolerate open hostility to higher education, and academia. It is not uncommon for professors and other academics to be censored or even arrested. Free __expression in the arts and letters is openly attacked. TOP

12. Obsession with Crime and Punishment -
Under fascist regimes, the police are given almost limitless power to enforce laws. The people are often willing to overlook police abuses and even forego civil liberties in the name of patriotism. There is often a national police force with virtually unlimited power in fascist nations.

13. Rampant Cronyism and Corruption -
Fascist regimes almost always are governed by groups of friends and associates who appoint each other to government positions and use governmental power and authority to protect their friends from accountability. It is not uncommon in fascist regimes for national resources and even treasures to be appropriated or even outright stolen by government leaders. TOP

14. Fraudulent Elections -
Sometimes elections in fascist nations are a complete sham. Other times elections are manipulated by smear campaigns against or even assassination of opposition candidates, use of legislation to control voting numbers or political district boundaries, and manipulation of the media. Fascist nations also typically use their judiciaries to manipulate or control elections. TOP

Causes? Try nationalistic humiliation of a people who lost a war (First WW) and was made to accept degrading peace terms, and then endured the effects of the Great Depression in more deperate circumstanced than the U.S. (see the charcoal drawings by Kathy Kolewitz of starving children)

Hitler had an audience of men who had looked across the table at hungry children they could not feed for reasons the did not understand. Such men are always and everwhere dangerous, and ready to seize any solution to their situation.

Hitler, a man abnormal in almost every particular, gave them potatoes, jobs and a target for their anger. He was in many ways unfit for his situation. He had never traveled and knew very little of the other nations of Europe. He spoke no other language at a time when nearly every semi-educated European spoke at least French. He spoke a degraded German and made grammatica errors that would embarass an office worker. But he understood the human heart in its fears and hopes, and he fed on both.

Hitler was inspired by ambition. He wanted to be the first person to rule the whole world. He made no bones about it. In many of his speeches he repeated, "Heute gehert uns Deutchland, morgen die ganse velt ". That means - - today Germany belongs to us, tomorrow the whole world.
It's easy to see why just about every single German idolized him. They believed him, they were going to rule the world.
Each time he overran a country and enslaved its people, Hitler said that he had no other territorial claims. The other countries gave him the benefit of the doubt. War is not something that you jump right into- - - it's the last resort.
Finally England and France said enough is enough, and declared war on him. By that time millions of Jews were starved and Poisoned.

The reason he managed to kill so many people was IBM. Back then it was called Hollerith Tabulating machine. (hollerith was the founder). For the first time in history a dictator had technology as a powerful tool to allow him to collect and manage the information to implement his huge plans.

There are a lot of books written in recent year's about IBM role in achieving the killing of so many people.

Obviously the present day IBM is not to blame.

Well, read about his tactics. His right-hand-man said that if you lie to people long enough -- and I think I'm paraphrasing -- eventually they will believe the lie. Did you know that Iraq caused 9/11? Or that they had weapons of mass destruction? Or that they were drooling at the borders awaiting our American boys and girls who would die to bring them democracy? Did you know that Bush could have wiretapped and THEN asked for a court order? And a few other minor things. like electronic voting machines in Florida that return ballots with errors in a white district but accept and void them in a black district, Vote anyway, though, just for the hell of it.

Since the Jews began slaughtering Arabs and stealing their land in 1922 to the reward, Israel has killed approximately two,000,000 CIVILIAN Arabs, in comparison to approximately 35,000 CIVILIAN Jews killed by means of Arabs given that 1922 to the Present - the Israelies have got to kill approximately four,000,000 extra Arabs to check 6,000,000 Jews - apparently - the West Bank and Gaza strips could have approximately 6,000,000 Arabs in approximately two-three years - hmmm and Arab Holocaust within the making.Few humans recognise the IRGUN(NOW elected Likud), one of the murderous Jewish terrorist businesses truthfully categorised as such by means of the British, killed MORE ARABS than all of the Arab Freedom Fighters(Israel calls terrorists) COMBINED, killed Jews.
