Well If no one is ever asked then It would be hard for them to tell how they feel . Me I don't have the problem even when I don't have a problem people really know how I feel about them or whatever.

I wonder the same thing. If you want to know how my dad's feeling you'd have to beat it out of him. My best guess is that part of it has to do with how the person was raised. My dad was raised in a very unemotional, cold environment. I think men have a harder time showing emotions (sometimes. I've certainly met men who have no trouble telling you how they feel) because society teaches them that men are suppose to be tough and they aren't suppose to cry. I sometimes keep my feelings hidden because I know that they might hurt someone and I'd rather keep the feelings bottled up than hurt their feelings.

usually, it doesn't occur to us that we have to "tell" someone how we feel.
we expect that people (the ones who would have ANY interest in our feelings, anyway) ought to just "know" without our "telling them".
then, when it DOES (finally) occur to us that we may have to actually speak up and explain something, we hesitate.
1) we're worried that we won't say it right (not having had much practice in talking about our feelings)
2) we are unsure of the other person's response to our revelation.
we don't want to be laughed at

Because communicating their emotions makes them feel they're exposing themselves.
Exposing yourself is always difficult, especially when you are unsure and you're afraid of being ridiculed. Confessing your feelings is like showing a part of you, it's just like going out naked and not knowing how people will react.

I don't but understand the majority of people think they will hurt someones feelings.(females mostly) I would rather say what needs to be said than keep quiet and allow others to think all is well.
