I want to connect a printer through wireless i have a pc connected to a router and my laptop wireless. I have done this before but know forgot. When i go to add a printer is says microsoft etc and printer does add. I tried every thing that i think it is so How will i be able to connect my printer again.

This method works on windows Xp.... Media Center 2003-2005... Xp x64...
Go to the pc where the printer is connected...
Enable file and sharing option(from the wireless connection properties)
Go to the printer folder (Control Panel>Printer and faxes)
Right click on your printer icon and click properties
THen click sharing
Click Share this printer
Give your printer a name
click ok and close all open windows.

Go to the other pc and go to the folder: Printers and Faxes
Click ADD A PRINTER (open>Add a printer)
and follow the wizard...
A network printer or a printer attached to another computer
Click on browse for a printer

if your pinter is connected to your desktop computer all you have to do is share the printer. simply click start>>printers and faxes>>right click your printer and click share. Thats IT!!!

connect the PC to the router, connect the printer to the PC, share it, and you can see it from your wireless laptop, enjoy
