Maybe. Medicaid is not paying for any special education service in Ohio, although this is being contested in court. It was disabled here about a year ago. At that time, it paid for psychological, occupational, speech, and other services provided during the school day.
So you have to check your state to see. I've attached an article about some of the issues Texas has had. There should be someone who has the job of processing medicaid. Ask the speech therapist in the building if they turn in medicaid, and they might be able to point you to your answer.

Yes, the school system here if Florida also bills Medicaid for therapies. But if the child is getting outside therapy, they can't bill for the therapy given on the same day. It's common practice to do this.

Some state, federal, and local programs base decisions about eligibility for help from their agencies based on the student's eligibility for other government programs like medicaid, medicare, SSI etc. So students may be recieving different types of help from differnt sources based on different qualifications - it does get confusing, have the care coordinator help you sort this out.

That's up to you.In KY when a child needs these services they'll ask for your permission to bill his card. You have the right to say no.Most services like speech,OT,PT are done by outside groups that have to get paid by the school system.

Certain staff at your child's school may bill medicaid for certain services. Look into it.

I am not sure, but it seems this would be illegal. Schools get funding for special ed and they are suppose to use THEIR funds, not someone else's.
Call your state dept of education and talk to the special ed staff there.

Not exactly.....no. You should consult an attorney on this matter. There are ways to do it, however it's pretty strict. I'd have to know exactly what was happening in order to tell you for certain. It is possible however that they can IF they do it in a certain way. Please consult an attorney.
