Don't waste your money on pills.
I hate being short too but have to accept I can't do anything about it. Posture helps; 'walk tall'; keeping your head up and back straight will make you look taller than you are. I do eye contact a lot; it fools people into thinking I'm confident and assured and they 'think' of me as taller.
Height is mainly determined by heredity but it's a bit unpredictable. My parents were 5'2'' and 5'4'' and I'm 5', however both my grandfathers were 6 footers at a time when the average male height was 5'6''. My children seem to have inherited that; my son is 6'2'', my parents and I obviously take after my grandmothers.
The other factor in determining height is diet, both the mother's diet when she is pregnant and childhood diet. That's why people now are usually taller than their ancestors were (apart from me of course) and why people in the west tend to be taller than people in the developing world

The grow pills do not appear to be work. Even DHEA, which was the most promising, was recently discredited. Clive T is correct about Human Growth Hormone (HGH) being the only artificial source that will increase growth, under certain conditions. It also has some negative side effects.

Growth hormones are generally broken down in the digestive tract, and growth hormone precursors do not appear to work. This is not to say that the sellers of those pills were unable to find customers whose purchase of those pills coincided with the customers' naturally late growth spurt.

You are also 17. Some people do not finish growing until 25, or a few until 28. 19 and 24 were significant growth years for me, due in part to healthy diet and stimulating the natural production of HGH through the practice of strength training on alternate days, and cardiovascular exercises.

I grew 17 inches taller after age 18. A friend grew 10 inches taller after age 18. I became 5'10", she grew to 5'7", both without grow pills or HGH injections. That is just the way our bodies grew.

I wish you the best of luck, but give your body a chance to find it's growth spurt on its own. Genetics, diet and exercise(which may cause the body to produce natural HGH) are the primary determinants of height.

You can get growth hormone treatment, but only if you really need it, it has been tried on teenagers who have stopped growing and are deemed to be very small for their age. This is only done under medical supervision. There are no pills that make you grow taller, if there was we would all be over six foot!
