This is the category for special education, this refers to school children who have special educational needs.

I'd say if you think you need help --- YOU DO! --- you should not wait, find a doctor, pastor, therapist, counselor, treatment center now!

You would get better answers if you post this question in the Health category

You need to get some outside help. And you need to realise that you do need to stop drinking. Make an appointment with your doctor and get a physical check up and some much needed advice. Your doctor will probably advise you to go to AA or rehab (a place where alcoholics go to dry out and get help). Go onto the web and check out the SOS web site, this is a great supportive site for people trying to stop drinking - it is not a spitirtual program like AA.
Remember that there are many people like you and many people who have given up drinking to live very happy contented lives. There are also those who die from alcohol - so you need to get help as soon as possible.
I do not believe that alcoholism is a disease - but it is an addiciton and a very hard one to break. You will need a lot of support from loved ones and friends to overcome your addiction. But you can overcome it - millions of people have and so can you. You have to be pro-active and seek the support you need.
Once you have set a day to stop (today), then keep busy, read as much as you can about your addiciton - on the web and in libraries. There are many great self-help books out there - look under the addiction site in a good book shop.
You may need councelling to help you through and to get to the root of the problem. Some people start drinking through boredom or stress, others through some life tragedy. Some because of loneliness. You need to address whatever are your triggers - and you need to do that today. Some drink to shut the real life out - but in actual fact real life is pretty good - once you start living it without the need for alcohol.
Please seek help. I wish you the very best.

I am a alcoholic in recovery and there is no way that you could be drinking 50 drinks a night. Two things would happen lon before that.
1) You would pass out.
2) You would die of acute alcoholic poisoning.
Even on my best days it took me all my time to manage 40 drinks ALL DAY!!! Go to your local church or look in the telephone and enquire about Alcoholics Anonymous. If I can give it up anybody can GOOD LUCK and remember that your not the only one who may have this problem, there are lots of us.

Tell someone right away...get to a docotr/therapist. And don't listen to the people who are suggesting drugs/suicide etc.
Good luck with giving up!
And by the way you can get addicted to alchohol.

Drink until you don't wake up. That will stop you from drinking ever again.
