Yes. Wireless is just in the house - the wireless pc/laptop needs a signal to hit which comes from the router you have to plug into the phone socket! Wireless just means no wires from phone scoket to pc

No you don't, T-mobile has their broadband for laptops at £29 a month no lines needed.If you mean having wireless in your house with a router then yes you need cable or phone line.
Vodafone and 02 also have it but its too expensive.
There is also a company that does wireless but I forgot their name, anyway they had a very limited UK coverage.

yes
wireless broadband means you can share the internet between computers without being connected by wires.
the router still has to be plugged into a phone line

yes you have to have a phone line, it doesn't matter whether you broadband is wireless or not. It still has to go through a rooter

yes indeed. Wireless replaces the old cable between your computer and the phone line.
but you need a working tel line in order to get connected

Yes unless you tap into another wireless network such as in hotels and airports or someone silly enough not to encrpt their wireless network.....

I think it depends on your service provider. if ou don't have/need a phone line you may need a roof arial.
