Don't laugh, but I did that on numerous occasions. When I finally had enough and decided he can pack his own f....suitcase...he had a stroke while doing it.
We had a revolving door at our place. I finally locked it down and that took guts.

Or her make up case? Don't leave out the 'hers.' Or was this pointed at just the women? *shrugs* just curious.
I think there are many times when people want to feel that they are sustaining the vows they took. They work hard to make the marriage work and they endure a great deal of pain along the way. There comes a time when you finally have to say 'enough is enough.' But it is so hard to just admit that the marriage failed. So again......you make no move. You know the marriage is not even a marriage. You know that the love has faded. You even know that your partner is miserable and probably enduring just as much pain. But you hold on.
If your spouse was to finally say, "I'm leaving," I'm sure that finally saying......."it's time" would not be difficult. Even helping just to make the move smoother isn't a shove out the door but a way of just easing what is already a very difficult situation.

I'd rather it be a mutual agreement than an ultimately negative one. So, yes, I would at least help me to leave.

Marriage is a sacred institution and you should never get a divorce. Because God hates a divorceing and it is cruel to children.
