i would possibly talk to a lawyer and fight the fact that you cant play just because you are a girl.....i have seen on the news where schools made teams coed after having someone fight the system......i am a guy and in my opinion this is sexist......if a girl wants to play any sport and of course has the consent from the parents..they should be able to

I had a girl who played on my varsisty squad in high school. QB is a very competitve position and that is just for the guys. A lot of what football have to deal with is no t only talent and strength but mostly size. You can be a super stong person who can benchpress 500 lbs but if you only weigh like 115, then you are gonna get crushed. Thats why girls have such a disadvantage, size and strength.
If you are truley serious about football, then I would suggest always coming out to practice and never letting the coach NOT see you there. Also, be humble enough for any position he can slot you in.
If you are serious about competition then I would suggest wrestling. I was also a heavyweight wrestler and the intensity of that sport matched anything from football. And females can wrestle no problem, my sister does it.

Well first, that was cute that you said QB was quarterback at the end....we know baby! And if you really want to show them up, find someone to get you a uniform, put it on with helmet and go out and throw around. Make sure not to take off your helmet until you wow everyone. THEN show them who is under the helmet. If that doesn't work just go to the practices and find someone to play catch with on the sideline. Make sure and throw accurate passes and as far as you can. After a few practices, you will catch the coaches eye. If none of this works, stand back about 50 yds and throw the ball with accuracy and break the asst coach or the QB coach's nose...then walk away knowing you tried and getting your aggression out at the same time!

Woman or girls are allowed to particapate in any and all sporting events including football, baseball (not just softball), wrestling, ect. The reason your coach my not want you to play is because it can cause trouble for the team. Like dressing rooms, showers, ect. The only position I've ever seen a woman play in High School or Collage is Kicker. If you want to be QB and the coach says you can't because of your sex, that is an open and shut case of sexual discrimanation. I hope to see you as the first female QB in collage football history!

O.K. Their was a law passed a while ago that stated tat girls have equal rights as boys when it comes to matters of school sports. Theirfore if you school does not offer a girls football team BY LAW you must be allowed to try out for the boys team. This does not mean you will be allowed to play (sad but true) but you MUST be allowed to try.
In all honesty if you coach says you cannot play because you are a girl you could sue and win.
Speak with him, then your parents, then look up whatever law it is (i can't remember the name...section 9 law i want to say?) and show it to your coach.

If they won't let you play then they won't let you play. Yoiu can argue till your lips turn blue, but generally you may be more fragile then the average jock. It would suck for to get hurt and the sue them. It would also suck if the other players (knowing your a girl) went easy on you....which would be hard not to. I would say, get involved as much as possible with the girls football if they have one and be a superstar. If you really want to push the issue then just be prepared to take alot of flack for it. Good luck to you. You sound like a pioneer and you never what your cabaple of doing until your go after it. So you go girl!

If the school doesn't have a female football team it is the law that the school has to let you try out. You may not make it on the team but they have to let you try out. Same goes with any school sport.

Not weird at all. Don't allow this person to stop you from at least trying what you want to do. Hopefully he told you this 'cause he's afraid you might get hurt, and not, because he's more worried about winning and/or the perception that he's less of a man if he did.
Go to you're Principal, go to your school district Supervisor, go to whomever you have to till you're heard...
Good Luck!!!

Miiddle school? At that age in terms of physical size and strength there isn't much different between boys and girls so talk to the principal and school board. If they should allow you though don't expect nor ask for any special treatment.
