It seems as though many of you are still very much living in the past. Modern day Skoda's are as reliable as any Audi or Volkswagen. The reason being that they are built on the same platforms and use the exact same parts. Skoda customer service consistenty rates within the top3 of the well respected JD Power surveys.

The 1.4 Petrol does not have a Turbo. The 1.4 Diesel does. There are multiple versions of the 1.9 diesel. An SDi which has no turbo and is to be avoided like the plague, a 1.9TDi 90bhp, 105bhp and the VRs with 130bhp

Any diesel fabia "could" have aircon depending on whether it was specified as an option. I believe its standard on the comfort up, depending on age. Most have it as standard as part of a special deal on new cars.

The MPG on any of the diesels is going to be upwards of 50mpg.

My dad has a fabia vrs and certainly shifts. I am a biker so when i say it goes it goes. With the added benefit of being a diesel. Will beat most off the lights. Your basically buying a skoda badged vw/audi and thats German build quality. it has air con. As for mpg depends on how driven

Hey, i used to have 1.4 Skoda Fabia, no turbo, petrol. I think 74Kw ( about 100 horse powers), it was great little car for the city and also for longer trips. 1.4 doesn't come in turbo version.

I think most of them has got a aircon now.

What country you are from? Check out Skoda's website.

Don't go for Skoda THEY ARE VERY UNRELIABLE. I have gone for a Honda Civic 03 and it will be much better any day than Skoda and if you want sporty go for the Honda Civic Type - R
