He's a freakin' read-a-holic!!! I just don't want to waste my time on something that won't amuse me that much.

Before you read the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, read The Hobbit first. Go to antique book stores to get all four books as a set. Its cheaper than buying new I have them all and they are better than the movies. Your friend is giving you wise advise. You'll love the story line and the characters.

Semantics. human beings call it a trilogy by way of fact that is revealed as extra effective than one e book. the guy who wrote the foreword of the e book calls it a single e book becasue...(i'm in simple terms guessing right here in view that i've got no longer study the foreword)...that is one non-stop tale? Does it say why that is seen one e book? besides, it incredibly is the two a singular and a trilogy. ;) those 2 words are no longer mutually unique.

They are a cult, readers of Tolkeins work. If you turn out to be one of them, you'll have loved the ride through the LOTR series. If you're not, however, you wont get to page 60

I haven't read the books, but the movies are really good. It really depends on your taste in books, if you like magic & advnture, then you should go for it.

Read them if you have time, Tolkien overtly describes everything and thus prolongs the amount you have to read.

They are surely better than the movies.
