single guys left in this world who are not totally bitter or complete freaks?
I mean, I know not all guys are weird, so don't get your shorts in a bunch, but I just wondered where a single, 40 year old woman is supposed to meet a guy?
It just seems like most of the ones I meet are women-haters (because of their ex-wives), or they have some very strange fetishes that I have no desire to help them out with.

Oh, I'm not saying I'm not a freak or weird.
And I definitely KNOW that I am not perfect and I'm quite alright with that, nor do I want to meet anyone who thinks they're perfect.
I prefer a guy with a quirky, sarcastic personality.

I do tend to like younger guys.
And by strange fetishes I mean things that I can't even begin to describe on here without getting a violation.

Great observation there!
I did the misogynistic thing BIG time hen I first became single again. Talk about going on a rampage - I was out to marmalise the lives of all women, and make them all pay for what my ex did.
And I did some serious damage before I got that out of my system - I even went with married/committed women just to create problems for them in their other relationship.
I reckon that if a pig like me can calm it down after a while, though, nicer men than I will ever be must manage to do it as well.
Maybe you just haven't caught a fella who has cleared that hurdle yet?

I used to be in your predicament; I sat there wondering when and if I'd ever meet my Mr. Right. I was so tired of all these men who aren't true, or who just want to waste your time. So, I finally said to hell with it; I am done looking! And though it took some time, and came upon me with no warning whatsoever, God saw fit to put a man in my life that He made for me. It took me a little time to see that, but now it's wonderful! So my advice to you is to be happy! Know that you don't need a man (or another person) to make you happy! Go out and have fun, play, enjoy life! And one day, when you least expect it, your Mr. Right will come! (If he isn't already there and you don't know it yet!) â¥

I just asked my 15 year old, "Am I a freak?" You'll never guess what she said.
Of course I am. But, some of us single guys are too busy working and raising kids to date right now. I know three, other than myself. We usually hang out together, kinda like a weekend binge-drinking support group for single dad's.

I think you have a point. Pick a younger one. There's no rule that you have to pick some old 40 year old guy with an ex wife! Find a younger one who has never been married and isn't jaded. They are out there!

Yes, there is a group of us. We've been in hiding. You see, we have the same problems - only in reverse. Women are embittered or cynical yada-yada-yada. I have an advantage. I have never been married, so I have no Ex to be bitter about. Strange fetishes? Likely not, though your definition of 'strange' might be exclusive of my own.

First of all maybe you appear to them as a freak or weird. Anyway just be friendly with any guy and try to work in a question to see if they have a girlfriend or wife. TRUST ME, as long as your not totally repulsive someone will bang you.
