Also, cross-border cost of living indexes have the weakness of assuming similar purchasing patterns whereas one modifies outlays to compensate for those aspects of life that are free or subsidized in one country and not in another.

Thus: health care and higher education are cheap or free in Britain, and expensive in the USA. Real estate is expensive in Britain and cheap (except in a few urban centers and much of California) in the USA.

Definately Japan, they are way more advanced than the US and their cost of living is extremely high.

japan Paris and London are also very expensive however i think that china and India with a growing economies will start to attract a richer crowd pushing prices up.

The Old Confederacy..A very high cost of living.here folks. its also hot. humid. snakes are terrible. alligators kill people all the time,, The bugs are so big they can carry off small children. please do not move south.it is BAD for your health.Y'all.
