Yes, Bush needs another "terror attack" like 9/11 in order to keep taking more and more of our freedom with laws like the "Patriot Act." And he wants to stay involved in the war in spite of dwindling support. There may even be military action in our country in order to keep him in office under marshall law before the end of his term. He is desperate and anything is possible...)(

Not in the United States. It's too much risk for those in power and are trying to hold on to that power. It would demonstrate to the voters in this country that once again we were not protected by our government. The greedy power mongers in DC would worry that that ploy would back fire in their faces, at the polls. A more likely scenario would be a vicious attack elsewhere, to scare the bejeezes out of Americans. Yes, I can here them now: The world is a dangerous place because of the terrorists, but we can keep you safe...why, there hasn' been one attack on American soil since 9/11. We must be doing something right. You need us to keep protecting you from all the evils that lurk in the world.

I don't think so, because it would just confirm the fact that the government has allowed millions of illegals into the country. The war is going so badly now, that the only thing that can save them, is if all Iraq's laid down their guns and gave up. They can't fool the people into thinking they are the moral party, the party of small government, the party for the middle class,or that the have shown they can do better than the democrats.

A terror attack right now would not help the Republicans one bit. Their stance is that they've reduced terrorism. If a terrorist attack occurs before the election, it'll be curtains for the Republicans.

Probably not. If, G-d forbid, there is a terror attack, the Democraps, if they had any brains at all, will put all of the blame on Bush's failed policies.

Maybe. I think it's more likely that Asama will be "miraculously" found two days before the election.

No attack, just more fear. Like the so-called threat against football arenas this week--they *knew* it was a hoax right away, and yet the media reported it non-stop.

Maybe just a red alert, with credible evidence, that will scare those in line that might wavier. Maybe when they call Rush Limbaugh they will find out whether it will happen or not.
