They may not test on animals now but all the ingredients used have at some time been tested on animals.
So the claim they do not test on animals is true as someone else has already done the tests.

Some years ago it was Boot's policy not to test any own brand items on animals, not sure if it's still the case though.

Check the container that the make-up is in - it should say on it whether it has been tested in animals or not.

I should bloomin' well hope so, i'd hate to think that they just sell that stuff to humans without testing if its safe first
