I got some football tickets for myself and my GF. But now we have sepperated, not broken up, but not really together anymore. She really wanted to go, but the tickets were to be a surprise, so she doesn't know about them. We are working on getting back together, but that has been put off till after Jan. 1st. Should I still take her as "just a friend", or take someone else and just wait to spend time with her till the new year?

well shes put you on the back burner till after the first of the year. im sure you and one of your buddies would rather go or if you have another chick friend really into football or just wants to make your seperated g/f jelouse take her you can relax enjoy the game without feeling awkward towards the situation. you baught the tickets, you want to go and have an awsome time do it with some one who would have a great time WITH you. and as for g/f well you guys are seperated and you just wanted to go to have a good time. it should let her see that even though shes enjoying life with or without you your not waiting around for her phone call like a puppy dog. good luck bud and enjoy your game with whoever you take

That is the strangest thing I have ever hear (or read). How can you think about getting back together but put a date on when that will happen? What are you waiting for?

If you want to be with her and work things out then take her. If you don't want to be with her then go with a buddy and don't even think about getting together after Jan 1st.

the main point is that u r thinking of getting back together!!! why wiat until next Jan? the tickets can act as a catalyst to encourage you try to get back together. There is absolutely no benifit in "putting off" working on your relationship coz u will just drift apart.

If you are planning to get back with her in the end anyway...why not? You guys will probably catch up and have a good time. I see no problem with you taking her, but you have to remember to give her some space. If you dont think you can do that....just take a friend instead. You dont want to look like a fool. Good Luck!!!

I would give her one of the tickets and let her decide if she wants to go with you or not, with out the pressure, unless you have a guy friend to go with you. I would not recommend taking another girl.

I don't believe in separation for a couple of months then go back...you'll only be miserable...either you guys stick together of go your own ways...but if this is the case..then take a friend and have a blast!

Why don't you call her and ask how she feels about going with you? It might be the catalyst to help the two of you get closer, or she might say she wants to wait until January. Either way it's better than worrying about it.

As you said your GF really wanted to go and watch the football match.. If you want her to go with you then maybe you should ask her.. Nothing wrong with it.. Good luck
