I thought i heard someone talking about a movie that leads up to texas chainsaw, but i'm not sure what it is, if there is one.

They've just released the Prequel.

It's called "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The beginning"

Yes The Texas Chainsaw Massacre the Beginning or something like that. The girl that kills herself in the van is in it and it shows what all lead up to her walking down the road disoriented.

Because the Texas Chainsaw Massacre was based on a true story, it can't have a pre/sequal. Sorry but nope.

they just made a prequel to the texas chainsaw massacre... it more than likely is a bad movie considering the remake... so, yes there is one, but it's prolly not worthwhile seeing in the theatre... wait for DVD

this just a reply to skittles answer: its not based on a true story they tooks some nut job from another state and his killings and molded they're own story.....its all one the special features of the dvd release...not the original but the one with Jessica Beil.....

It's a prequel, it's basically about how the assasin, murderer, or whatever you wish to call them came to be.
