Its basicly a way for you to get online radio shows called podcasts or video podcasts. When you see rss on websites click it and it should be added. I have many rss chanels mostly gaming and technolgy. Its really called really simply syndication.Its still called rss channel on your psp. But as that guy mentioned it also a way of viewing html pages.

1 we don't call it channel anymore!
2 rss are like html web pages, they have less information than regular pages, and are in a stricter format (one of the xml formats)
3 the sites update them whenever they change the real html pages (automatically).
4 an RSS reader peeks at the rss feed and sees what is new (for you)

I hope the simple explanation of "Really Simple Syndication" (thats what it stands for) help.

RSS has nothing to do with music or video... they are just some of many uses for RSS!
