So many to choose from and it is hard to pick a favorite. I have lived all across the country and travel also but I would pick Missouri. There are four true seasons, the cost of living is great, people are friendly and down to earth, the traffic (if you exclude St. Louis) is mild, there is plenty to do and try, BBQ is great

I love California and was not born there, weather is great, beautiful landmarks, beaches, national parks, good wine, great for outdoor activities, and San FRANCISCO IS just awsome, people are friendly, there is a lot of culture there anyway the list never ends.

I would say Kansas - people still respect each other.
South Carolina is a close second. Pennsylvania is 3rd.
