An internet connection can become slow or stop working due to a number of reasons depending on the type of the connection. Many of the problems can be solved by making software changes or small hardware corrections. Detailed instructions at http://tinyurl.com/yl62gz

Just Right-click the connection in your system tray (beside clock) and CLICK 'REPAIR'... This will renew your i.p. really fast and simple. If all else fails, there's a reset button on back of router. good luck :-)

1) click the START button
2) click RUN
3) type cmd
4) Black box appears type:
ipconfig /release
PRESS ENTER
then type:
ipconfig /renew
OR you can go within your router configuration and renew the IP address in there. Also powercycling your CABLE MODEM (if you have one) and router by unplugging them and plugging them back in after a minutes, could help.
