Sure did and that ended up my worst nightmare. It is better to wait a long time until one of the two parties is mature enough to know when they are getting a real surprise package in a handsome wrapping and the other one is mature enough to be a real adult too. I don't think that is usually (key word is usually, since some people mature faster) the case with high school sweethearts because as people at that age get older they should be maturing with which comes more wisdom and changing preferences. So usually you can look back later and say what ever attracted me to THAT! I did say usually, so there are a few rare exceptions but generally that would not be the case...case in point, my first marriage did not last long but the two children we produced are here for life. They also went without a father for most of their life, never had cards, gifts or child support, or any visits from him either...and the saddest part is that one of them carries some of his unproductive, childish and dangerous traits. Be very careful, take your time picking your partner. It still may not last for a lifetime, but believe me, the results will.

Actually, yes. We started dating when I was 14 (9th grade). We got married a month and 4 days after I graduated high school. 10 years later, we're still married!

No, BUT he was my first crush! I was in junior high when he was a senior in high school..... There was a HUGE age difference, but that only matters for so long! I moved across the country and then we reconnected as friends..... Then fell in love!
