A couple suggestions: drink a cup of coffee, or rub a few drops of peppermint oil on your temples.

If its a tension headache which are the most common, use relaxation therapies, such as tighten every muscle in your body one at a time from head to toe. Tighten each one for about 10 seconds and then release and keep doing this. If its a migraine or ordinary headache, take excedrin for migraines. Works fast.

It would depend on where the headache is. There are a couple of different accupressure points in the body to try. You can press the flesh in the web between your thumb and forefinger on each hand. Another, if your neck is stiff, you can squeeze your eyebrows (yes, I know it sounds weird) at three points for 3 seconds each. Inside corner, middle of arch, and outside corner--you will know you are in the right spot because it will be very tender to the touch. You will absolutely notice a difference in the stiffness of your neck.

Drop a large, heavy object (i.e. a hammer) on your foot - then you won't notice the headache. :)
Failing that, I find Advil works best of all over-the-counter pain remedies...

what I do is sort of a mind trick --- visualization you could say...
Cool down your face with a piece of "visual" ice. It is important to feel what the ice cube would feel like. For me, in front of my ear lobes is the best.
