STEVE PULLED THE BARB OUT OF HIS OWN HEART---THAT'S WHAT KILLED HIM------3 DAYS AGO THE SAME THING HAPPEN TOO A MAN IN THE STATES BUT BECAUSE HE DIDN'T PULL THE BARB OUT ------HE'S GOING TO LIVE

He was swimming in the ocean while filming a documentary and was pierced through the heart with it's tail. Ironically, the stingray is normally a passive animal and it wasn't even part of the documentary. He pulled the barb out of his heart, but he died before he could get to a hospital.

The reason why he died was because he pulled the barb out of his heart. That left him bleeding internally. That is why in any prehospital emergency medical class they tell you to leave the object(knife, screwdriver, stingray barb etc.) in the wound till you get to the hospital, and let the Dr's remove it. It wasn't the poison that killed him it was the hole left in his heart when he removed the stingrays stinger. After that there was nothing they could have done to stop the internal bleeding outside of the hospital.

Steve Irwin died because the 6 inch barb on the end of the sting ray he was harrassing was jabbed directly into his heart. Personally, I thought he deserved to have one of the creatures he has harrassed for years get to him. I am not glad that he died, but he deserved something. Now, they are planning on profiting from his 8 year old daughter by putting her in a new series of videos. Terrible example of greed.

He got on top of a stingray for the camera,
and Unexpectedly, the sting ray shot its tail thing up steves heart.
R.i.P
he said that if he died on camera, that he wanted the footage of his death to be aired on TV, but his family wants otherweise matters to take place with the film of his demise.

when he dived in he didnt c the stingray under him!once the sting ray attacked him the animal left some sort of stick like thing into his heart. in the water steve pulled it out. doctors said if he didnt pull it out and if he let the doctors pull it out for him he would have survived!!feel sry for him:(

He got too close and it penetrated his heart , he was still alive but the moment he pulled it out it put a whole in his heart and he was dead! Sting rays have teeth on their bulbs so it is easy to stick the bulb in but getting it out is a disaster! Good luck to Bindi on her new show! :)

sting rays never sting unless u make them mad or do something to harm it n Steve made the ray mad so he was sting ed and the poison wasn't able to b drained out of his body because it was so deep!!
