I had an abusive manager. I went higher up and nothing was done. I eventually quit, a person can only take so much verbal abuse and physical abuse. I did a good job, he acted like a child and would throw things off people's desks or everything ended up on the floor. No job is worth it, especially when higher ups won't help you.
I'd say do what you feel. Maybe this will be a good lesson you've learned. With your next employer you can run a check on the person. Call the corporate office and ask for references, (they do a reference check on you, it's not wrong that you do the same thing). Ask if there has been any problems with this person and the employees. They have to tell you, it's your right. If you feel nothing will be done, get out and find a better job. Sounds like you can handle stress, but you shouldn't have stress in your work place. Call the Better Business Bureau and check out the company.

I wouldn't take off days but at the same time I believe I would look for another job! Maybe take off a little early if you need to look for a job-or after work! Unless you have some days off that you are entitled to and will still get payed work until you find something else! Some people just live to hurt others! Rise above this!

There is always someone over someone ,If you like your job and have been there for a while keep going to someone higher up till you get this matter taken care of,if it is a bad thing you may be able to take legal action no this, and if you don't want any part of that then start looking for another job.

The best thing to do is to stick it out and don't let the supervisor get to you. If you leave the job, it will make it look as if you were not honest in your complaint. I would go to the supervisors boss and tell him/her what is going on. You can also approach the supervior in a mature way and tell him/her that you want to talk things over. Best of luck.

Don't take off days. Those bastards owe you. Look for a job while they're paying you, and steal anything around the office that you can get your hands on.
