Are you sure it's just a yeast infection? I used to think I had recurring yeast infections (my friends and several doctors even told me my symptoms were those of a yeast infection) but it turned out I had recurring urinary tract infections. I have also found out from experience that bacterial vaginosis feels exactly the same (to me, anyway) as a real yeast infection. I understand what it's like to not have the cash, but I also know what it's like to be misdiagnosed for over 10 years.

Most probably the infection will not clear up on it's own. It's a living yeast and will thrive in the area it's in and, you can pass it on to your partner under most circumstances. You need a medication (over the counter) will work most of the time such as Monistst with a Nitrate creme unless it's bad and, some are. Then a doctor is needed. Cleanliness is important, clean pants, etc. Cranberry juice, yogurt, it's best to stop it before it starts though. Don't let it go it could lead to more problems.

Mild ones sometimes can go away on their own particularly after you have your period. The flux in hormons sometimes can cause a change in ph levels in your body causing the yeast to die off, but this only happens with a really mild infection (or so a nurse once told me) I second what the others said use yogurt and eat it as well.

I'm sorry if I sound harsh, but why would you want to wait? Spend a few bucks and get an OTC treatment. Get it over with!

Try yougurt. Especially try douching with a plain yogurt. Gross I know but it helps restore the good bacteria. It does work.
