Surprise team = excitement

If players, coaches, or the rest of the city feel excited about this coming season, then yes it can be a surprise team.

A surprise team, in my opinion, is somewhat like the Chicago Bulls, New Orleans Hornets, Houston Rockets, Minnesota Timberwolves. With key additions (free agency, trades, draft) during the offseason, a certain sense of excitement is definitely there.

Ask yourself, are you excited about what the Knicks have right now? IMO, it's right about the same as last year. But Marbury and Francis have been playing for almost a year now, including the offseason, they must have jelled, and that's always a good thing. Also, Eddy Curry and Channing Frye should not settle for points alone. They're bigs, and they should be grabbing boards, blocking shots, averaging double-doubles on a consistent basis. Good pick up on Jared Jeffries although he's out.

I love the Knicks and always will....but my honest opinion is that we are heading for a for another bad season. We should have kept Larry Brown and let him bring the players that he needed to help rebuild the team. Our roster is too expensive. Starbury and Stevie Franchsie are virtually the same players (scoring point guards who shoot first, pass later) Eddy Curry has to be more solid and consistent, and Jared Jeffries is injured. However, I like the younger players (Frye, Robinson, and Crawford) and I like Jalen Rose as a veteran leader (by example). but i wish the luck . COME ON KNICKS!!!! Lets Get It!!
