i knew this guy for about 2 years but we been friends/ girlfriend/ boyfriend, he loses his job every few months and needs help with rent, of course i help him cause he is a wonderful person but it is hard somethimes to tell him no all he really has is me, i'm sure he can handle himself with out me, i really like hanging out with him and he is always to busy looking for a job, but he sits at his brothers house or friends house and can't come see me when i want him to, its always when he wants to i need help to try to figure it out what i should do cut him loose or keep him around for other things

If you keep helping him, he will never get up and take care of himself.
I suggest to cut him loose. Are you really that set up in your own life (own house, car, ect.) that you can take care of someone else?

It sounds like the only time he doesn't mind having you around is when he needs something from you.


If you care about him, you have to let him fall and make his own mistakes. Eventually he'll just have to pick himself up.
