Any way to change the region code for my psp?

I have an American PSP and would like to play a disk from a UK magazine. Is it possible to change the region so I could play the disk?
I don't know if the whole PAL and NSTC things apply to UMD disks as well.

No, the region codes is not changeable, at least not without changing the hardware inside.
