Yes I do, Children are not allowed to wear hoodies and hats in class. I know its there religion but its the UK they choose to live in and they should live by our rules. If we go abroad we adhere to covering up in places like Tunisia etc.... So Yes I think its right.

Damn right. Would we be allowed to wear what we wanted in a Muslim middle east country? No, so why do these ignorant freaks create such a bloody fuss when they are mildly restricted in Great Britain. They should think themselves lucky they are given the freedom to practice their hateful religion at all; I notice few of them are so agrieved with Britain that they decide to go to and live back in some hovel in the Middle East. Are Muslims actually trying to be the most hated group of people in Britain; if not they are doing a grand job!
As a side note, I notice there is an article in the paper today about this woman worshipping at the hard line Mosque where the July 7 th bombers also gathered. Well there's a surprise!

Oh yes,
I'de go as far to say that she shouldnt have abeen allowed to be a teaching assistant either. Not only is it a veil but she would not be allowed to work with a male teacher on his own either.
When will the UK wake up and stop being soft.
Sorry I am not a racist, but I have travelled and have had to respect the traditions, code of dress, language etc in all the countries I have visited if i wanted to or not. If I was a teacher and wanted to teach in a Muslim school then I would have had to observe the religous code of the muslim faith to teach.
Yet she complained because of it and after all it was a CofE school so what did she expect. Lastly she lied which is against her faith because she kept claiming she was a "Teacher" Sorry but she was a "Teaching Assistant"

I don't know, but maybe if she is out of work you could hire her as a spelling tutor. Vale? wowan?
Schools have the right to set dress codes and standards. Just as gang paraphernalia is band any other inflammatory dress should be.

Yeah. I am sick of hearing how SHES the victim!!! The kids are first. Not her. Noones picking on her.Shes just being awkard, selfish and annoying. I am a bit suspicious about it. if she not do wear for interview WHY she doing it class? I think perhaps it is pubicity for Anti-Muslim stuff. We HELP YOU, not insult u. Thats why she got job already, cos her father was allowed in the country. So she insults the country that wants to give her a chance. never understand that. HOw can we have intergration.

If she was interviewed wearing the vale, then the interviewers would've known that she would wear it when working, and its their fault. If however, she only started wearing it after learning she had the job, she was correctly stopped from working.

Hello, this is going to go on for ever isn't it? I will always have the same views that if their so determined to live in our country then they MUST FOLLOW OUR RULES!!!! They cant just expect to live here without having to obied by our laws. Its NOT too much to ask. By the way if you really want to P**S them off hide your face when they walk past you, I do it all the time and everyone who knows me loves it. And do you know whats made, they give me evils, but I don't care, if they don't want me to see their faces why the hell should I show them mine. GET THEM OUT OF OUR 'GREAT BRITAIN' TONY!!!!!

An overwhelming YES i absolutely agree. If standards are not set in any occupation, the next step would be teachers going to work wearing whatever they wanted. And if this woman was allowed to continue wearing the veil, then who is to say this would not have happened.

It is a bit more than just a veil. It is very difficult to determine the person whom it is and who they say they are that is wearing the burkah. Especially, now that people in the teaching profession are required to have enhanced police check on their background.
