ridding washington of lobbists, and half of congress might reduce crime, but in addition I'd restore the consitution, you know like the bill of rights which is concise and clear cut, not subject to inturpitation , such as the right to bear arms , to free speech, to demonstrate, and eliminate income taxes, we did with out income tax until the 1930s

I would work to reduce the size of the Federal government, and return it to the limited role envisioned by the founders. Education is a perfect example. We've poured billions into education, and all we've achieved are lower test scores. Rather than throw money at the problem, I'd limit the Department of Education to sponsoring research, and providing free, effective lesson plans and textbooks at cost to any school that requests them
I would be an advocate for eliminating the current tax system, and replacing it with the Fair Tax. The Fair Tax is more progressive than most people give it credit for, because it includes a "prebate" of all taxes paid up to the poverty line, for everyone. To the truly destitute, this becomes a negative tax, a small cash payment every month.
I would call for a Constitutional Amendment that would undo the 17th Amendment, and return the selection of Senators to the State Legislatures, where it belongs. The principal reason we've had runaway growth of the Federal government for the past eighty years, is that the States have lost their representation.
Healthcare costs for the uninsured are outrageous because all the insurance plans, especially Medicare, negotiate deep discounts with the providers. The uninsured are then left holding the bag, as the only profit center left, and their prices are higher than anyone else's. I would request legislation that requires all heathcare providers, including pharmacy chains to charge the exact same price to every customer, insured or not. I would end the practice of discounts completely.
As for the war on terror, I believe well intentioned people have fallen into the same old trap of trying to finesse a victory using minimal force, out of fear that the United States will look like a bully if we take the gloves off. I think this only makes us look weak, and it extends the pain in the region of conflict. Terrorists will not stop unless they fear us in the here-and-now, more than they fear their god in the hereafter. Each time a U.S. soldier is killed, I would order that a MOAB be dropped on the site. Yes we'd kill a few innocent civilians, but the rest of the civilian population would stop harboring the terrorists, they'd either rat them out, or kill them outright, to protect their homes and families.
Oh and BTW, you can't eliminate Lobbyists. There's this "small" constitutional issue of being allowed to petition the government for a redress of grievances. Lobbyists are just professional proxies for groups of people, oftentime referred to as "members","owners", or "employees."

I would try to make the FDA a little more financially independent. As it stands now the FDA receives about 80-90% of it's funds from the pharmaceutical companies it's supposed to keep in check. That means that these companies can get away with anything and all they have to do is threaten the FDA with a pay cut. There is no way for the FDA to efficiently protect the American people in that situation, meaning the people are at risk.
I would raise taxes so that we could begin the transition towards having free medical care and education, universally. By doing this I will have ensured that everyone is at about the same level financially, and everyone has the same opportunities as far as education and getting proper health care. This would make the American people more productive, and less reliant on foreign labor, which would also increase internal revenue and decrease our debts to the world.
I would revise our foreign policies, if a nation has a problem with itself I would not have the US intervene unless specifically asked. Believe or not right now only about 1% or 2% of our budget goes toward foreign aid, and it has always been that way ever since we made that an agenda on our bankbooks. We would try to stay neutral in foreign conflicts unless we were attacked. It may sound wimpy but in the long run all these things will increase the value of our dollar on the world market. I would open trade with any nation that would not pose an economical or political risk or danger to us. That way we would could establish good relationships with other powerful nations and maintain a good reputation with the world in general. There will always be haters and we would need to cut ties with them if they became too aggressive toward us. When they attack us physically that is an act of war. We have the technology to figure out and know when a government condones and supports the actions of it's people or military, and when it is the actions of a single group of people acting on their own merit. We would use this in minor situations, like hostage situations, attacking tourists and/or embassies etc. From that we could determine whether it warrants militant intervention, or a few specialists to go in get the job done, come out and get the bad guys.
All these financial reforms would eventually eliminate the need for Social Security and welfare, as we will be a nation of financial equals, who have free health care equitable education and a comfortable standard of living.
I would beef up internal securities and keep a hefty military just in case. As my foreign policies could potentially damn us if we aren't careful and observant. I wouldn't put a lot toward border control, though I do not believe all illegal immigrants should be deported I also don't think they deserve a 'free ride' so to speak. If they could maintain jobs and continue their education without breaking the law, I would grant them citizenship after a certain amount of time.
Over time all these things would clear a lot diplomatic red tape, as all our actions would clearly be within our own right as a sovereign union with minimal invasive or intrusive actions, and we would develop better relationships with the world. If someone did attack us we would have the world to rally us, without a bunch of pseudo-political and social issues clouding our credibility.
All these things could not take place within the span of eight years, so if I got these things going I would need to trust my successors to continue taking steps toward carrying it out for the better of the nation, in my absence.
And that is what I would do as President of the United States of America.

The first and most important is securing the country. Then I maintain the economy by cutting spending and increasing tax cuts. I would be a one term president because I would do what is right and make the tough decisions that would not make many happy on the left. I would also start cutting foreign aid to countries that bad mouth the USA or did not promote peace and prosperity. The most important of these is the security of the country because the rest wouldn't matter if we are not secure.

Well I certainly wouldn't do away with political party's. That would make a dictatorship; maybe lobbyists.
Making a better life for the poor and elderly. And better education for all. That's what's necessary for a more fulfilling and economically secure life.

Pull our military out and stop throwing money to countries. Use that money for things in this country for things like better school system. Kick all illegal imigrants out and start trying to find ways to improve the country. Close the borders from imigration for the next five years.

Peace in the world, and prosperity at home. Health care for the 45 million of Americans that have no access to affordable health care. A balanced budget and reduction in the national debt before it becomes a problem that we are never going to be able to fix.

I would enforce our immigration laws with strict enforcement by local, state & federal officers - which would include putting our military on the border with live bullets,no immigration hearings, deportation only, no social services including emergency care, repeal the 14th amendment and HUGE fines for any person or organization (including churches) that harbors an illegal and lastly, but perhaps most importantly, economic sanctions against countries that do not agree to aid us in our quest!
I agree with you on political parties & lobbyist!
