my friend for years who is also a female kissed me da other nite.i kissed her back,even tho im not gay.but i cant understand why she did it because she's engaged to a guy and wasnt expecting anything else to *** out of it.was this not selfish of her to do this

She may be looking for a bit of excitement which sometimes happens before a big commitment. She just knew you would be up for it, so yes I think this is a selfish act, unless she really wants to be with you or some other woman, in which case you should ask her if you can, as a friend first and then possibly as a lover, depending on the answer. Oh and depending on whether you are up for it as you say you are not gay although you did kiss her back.

Females don't have to be gay to enjoy another female's kiss. Society has wrongly labled this. Here's a secret...Guys and girls are different. Even thier emotions. Girls kissing is not a bad thing.
It's ok to kiss someone on impulse.

haha i think PEACE has the best answer do as peace says, some loving heals all. if she is selfish then so are you, because you kissed her back, maybe its just one of those silly little things which will never happen again or maybe its meant to be between you both, try again and see if you like it.

maybe if shes engaged she was worried about being so commited to her fiance
if ur not gay, then you dont have to feel obliged to kiss her back u no. just confront the situation and ask if she is commitment phobic or confused about her sexuality, dont act embarrased about it or u will make her feel worse, just try to make a joke out of it and put it behind u

Maybe she needed to experiment, also being such a good friend she wanted reassurrance that she wasn't going to loose you. Or maybe she is gay and wasn't sure and needed to find out.
Either way, talk to her about it and ask her. If she's such a good friend she will let you know. Communication is the most important thing whatever the relationship.

you kissed her back because you are friends and it was the polite thing to do.
my guess is she was laying out ground rules, or just marking a milestone in her life.
she needed that contact with you at this time.
in the future she may need it as a reference point.

Maybe she is just being nervously friendly because of her up and coming wedding. Sometimes before a wedding people do things they normally wouldn't just to get it out of their system.
